Soar Counseling & Consulting is seeking a mental health provider interested in joining us as an independent contractor. The practice is committed to providing quality counseling to adults, couples, and families.

Soar is a private practice located in Cullman, Al. We provide both in office and telehealth behavioral health/counseling services.

Role Description

This is a 1099 contract position for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Psychologist. The role is located in Cullman, AL, with flexibility for some remote work. This position is 20-40 hours per week with flexibility & autonomy. This position would include counseling with adults and possibly children if this is an area of interest &/or expertise. Administrative support in the form of initial scheduling of clients, insurance verification, billing, & insurance filing. Referrals are provided however contractor is expected to self-market also. The pay range for this position is dependent upon the applicants experience, expertise/training, and desired caseload.

Qualifications

Licensed LPC, LICSW, LMFT
Experience providing counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and/or groups
Candidates must possess multicultural sensitivity & strong ethical practices
Knowledge & adherence to ethical and legal guidelines related to counseling & board licensure
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Training or a strong interest in being trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) and/or other trauma informed specific modalities is highly considered but not necessary
Must pass criminal background check
Current licensed provider status with insurance panels preferred yet not required
Willingness to be a provider for insurance panel(s)

Contractor Responsibilities

Provide effective clinical assessment of the client
Utilization of assessment data to support a DSM 5 diagnosis & appropriate treatment planning
Ability to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to professional boundaries
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse clients
Commitment to ongoing professional development
Efficient/timely documentation in the medical record to include clinically comprehensive mental health assessments.
Willingness to collaborate & consult with other relevant professionals when navigating client care
